UPDATE: A pedestrian has died as a result of being struck by a vehicle on the Gold Coast overnight.
Around 11pm last night, police were called to Ferny Avenue in Surfers Paradise following reports of a man being struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian, a 22-year-old man from Biggera Waters, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but passed away this afternoon.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured during the crash.
Investigations are continuing.
