Kempsey Regional Saleyards are now under the watchful eye of CCTV, in attempt to crack down on livestock theft.
Three cameras have been installed at each end of the cattle ramps, to monitor truck movements.
The security boost is the first in a series of improvements council has scheduled this year, costing more than $100,000.
