HELEN LEADS THE COAST’S YELLOW DAFFODIL ARMY

Cancer isn’t stopping Macmasters Beach resident Helen Waterhouse from living her life.
Today, the 81-year-old was part of the yellow army, raising funds for the Cancer Council.
She has recently overcome her third bout with breast cancer, but she hasn’t missed a Daffodil Day in more than 20 years.
“It gives you hope and hope is one thing the cancer council say that it’s the hope and the flowers, that’s what they mean, HOPE.”
Last year, Daffodil Day raised more than five and a half million dollars nationwide, with the Cancer Council hoping to match that in 2017.
