TWO CHARGED AFTER SEPARATE COVERT INVESTIGATIONS INTO CHILD GROOMING
Two men have been charged with online grooming offences after separate covert investigations into child exploitation.
A 51-year-old man was arrested at a home in New Lambton earlier this week, after police allege he made sexually explicit comments and sent indecent photos and video to officers, who were posing as a 13-year-old girl.
The man’s due to face Newcastle Local Court on October 27.
Meanwhile a 59-year-old Lake Macquarie man will front Belmont court in November, after he was also charged with child grooming offences.
It’s alleged the man made numerous sexually explicit comments and sent indecent photos to who he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
He was arrested at Caves Beach yesterday morning, with officers seizing a mobile phone and tablet for examination.
