An elderly couple has been left shaken, following a home invasion at Merewether Heights last night.
Police say the husband and wife, aged in their 70s, were watching TV in their lounge room around 10pm, when two men entered their home through the back door.
The men, one armed with a knife, demanded money.
The couple complied and the pair fled the scene with cash and a handbag.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
