CONTENTIOUS ENTRANCE STILL ON THE TABLE FOR CORRECTIONAL CENTRE
The Baird Government hasn’t ruled out building an entrance to the expanded Cessnock Correctional facility on Lindsay Street.
It’s despite Cessnock Council saying the residential street will not be able to cope with the increased traffic.
Latest plans show the new centre will be set back a further 90 metres – behind a 3 metre high earth mound.
An alternative entrance is still being considered.
