CESSNOCK BUSHFIRE FLARES BEFORE BEING DOWNGRADED

An emergency warning is in place for the Lone Pine fire, burning near Karuah.

It’s also forced the closure of the Pacific Highway in both directions – and the Bucketts Way.

Meanwhile, the bushfire at Cessnock flared again today – a short time ago, it was moved back to Watch and Act level.

  2. He’s got plenty of people watching his back Joel. The firies are doing a great job. We are watching from a very safe distance and they have aircraft, choppers and plenty of people on the ground. He;ll be OK.
