GOVERNMENT GRANTS FOR REGIONAL GP PRACTICES
The Federal Government has ramped up its fight to keep health workers in regional areas, announcing a new funding program.
More than $13 million is available, for existing GP practices in rural Australia under the Rural General Practice Grants.
Doctors in the New England region regularly meet to discuss ways to retain medical practitioners, and will be able to apply for grants up to $300,000.
Applications for the program open on Monday through the Department of Health’s website.
