The Newcastle Hunters men’s basketball side will have a new head coach in 2017, with confirmation Larry Davidson will step down from the role due to illness.
Davidson was named this season’s Waratah League Coach of the Year, after steering the Hunters into the semi-finals.
His long-time coaching counterpart, and 20-16 assistant, Darren Nichols, will take over the role.
