A man has fronted court over alleged aggravated break-ins that targeted ATMs across Sydney and the Hunter this year.
In one incident, around 4:30am last Sunday, police responded to reports of a break and enter at a shopping centre at Mt Hutton.
Police allege that two men fled from the scene after allegedly attempting to access an ATM with sledgehammers.
Following investigations, police arrested a 34-year-old man on Dunmore Street in Bexley about 10.40am yesterday.
He was charged with aggravated break and enter with intent – in company, destroy or damage property, and be carried in conveyance without consent of owner.
