BYSTANDERS PRAISED IN HAWKESBURY NEAR DROWNING
Bystanders have helped prevent the drowning of a 23-month-old boy in the Hawkesbury region earlier today.
Around 11am, emergency services responded to reports that a child had been pulled from a lake at Webbs Creek, near Wisemans Ferry.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to hospital.
He is reported to be in a stable condition.
Police have praised the efforts of bystanders who administered first aid as soon as he was pulled from the water.
