The Joint Regional Planning Panel has deferred a decision on the controversial Waterside development at Gosford.
The majority of the panel was not satisfied there was enough community support for the height of the proposed towers.
Gosford Council has labelled the deferral a huge setback.
“It does you know put serious concerns over whether or not there will be a market shift that will challenge the viability over this and also just knowing how long planning proposals take on a state level.”
Council says it will continue to support the development.
