The Pacific Highway upgrade between Woolgoolga and Ballina is on track to be finished by 2020.
Work to ensure the finished road doesn’t sink or crack is underway, with the structure beginning to take shape towards Yamba.
Construction started on the 30-kilometre stretch between Glenugie and Tyndale in November last year, with major works from Maclean to Broadwater to begin soon.
More than 70 per cent of the highway upgrade is now complete.
