Tingha could soon have a new electoral district, with Inverell Shire Council set to vote on altering its boundary on Tuesday night.
Residents have been behind the move since the former Guyra Shire and Armidale Dumaresq Councils’ merged last year.
If approved, a formal application will be made to the Minister for Local Government.
