INJURED VALLA WOMAN SET TO RETURN FROM THAILAND

Valla Beach woman, Dawn Weldon, who was seriously injured in a moped accident in Thailand, about three weeks ago, could be home within a week.

Ms Weldon sustained a fractured skull and bruising on the brain, as well as broken bones in her arms and legs, and several fractured ribs.

A Go-Fund-Me account has raised almost $90,000 to cover her hospital and travel expenses.

“This is the first time Dawn’s been in a wheelchair sitting upright, it’s a great step forward, she’s very thankful for all the support.”

Doctors in Sydney are preparing for Dawn’s arrival, as information is shared between Thailand and Australia.
