Legendary Aussie rock band Midnight Oil has reunited, announcing its first world tour in almost two decades.
The band’s original peformers – vocalist Peter Garrett, drummer Rob Hirst, bass guitarist Andrew James and guitarist Jim Moginie – will come together for ‘The Great Circle 2017’ world tour, which will see them play 30 gigs across the globe.
Their tour will end with 18 Australian shows, including performances in the Hunter and Coffs Harbour.
Apart from two benefit concerts, these will be the first shows performed by Midnight Oil in 15 years, and also their largest tour since the 90s.
The tour will also boast a range of special guests including John Butler Trio, Birds Of Tokyo, The Jezebels, The Living End, Spiderbait and Something for Kate.
