Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Lambton this morning, which left a 26-year-old man with burns to his legs.
Emergency services were called to the home on Johnson Street just after 1:30 and found the man injured outside.
He was treated by paramedics, before being taken to John Hunter Hospital.
Forensic officers will examine the house today to determine how the blaze started.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
