A woman has been killed, when the car she was travelling in smashed into a tree south of Forster this afternoon.
The driver, believed to be her husband- was travelling along Tropic Gardens Drive in Smiths Lake at around 1 o’clock, when the Nissan Xtrail left the road.
“The little we do know is he was coming north down a slight gradient in Tropic Gardens Drive, the vehicle has left the western curve and collided heavily with a large tree,” Duty Officer Paul Fuller from Manning-Great Lakes Police said.
The male driver suffered minor injuries.
Crash investigation officers are working to determine the cause of the accident.
