The state government has approved a half-day public holiday for Armidale next month.
The city will stop from 12 midday on Monday March 20 to mark the start of the Armidale Cup.
The council area identified as ‘Old Armidale City’ will get a half-day off work to celebrate one of the region’s biggest events of the year.
