An operation, targeting illegal prawning and crabbing has seized more than $5,000 worth of fishing equipment.
Since Christmas, state fisheries officers have seized 189 crab traps, 47 hoop nets and a yabby trap between Lake Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.
It’s part of Operation Portunus, which enforces prawn and crab fishing regulations in New South Wales.
