Six weeks ago, Charlestown’s Corrine Hammond finished runner-up at the Darts World Championships in England.
Last night, she was closer to home, competing in the Newcastle Open.
Hammond battled through the early rounds to advance to the final, where she beat Sydney’s Lavinia Hogg, 6-2.
She’ll look to take that form back to the UK on Wednesday, as she prepares for the prestigious Isle of Man darts festival.
