A 4-year-old girl is in hospital with serious facial injuries after an assault on the Gold Coast.
Earlier this week, the child was admitted to hospital with a facial fracture and severe bruising.
Police have charged a 21-year-old Gold Coast woman with assault occasioning bodily harm.
The child and woman are known to each other.
She will appear in Southport Magistrates Court later this month.
