A truck accident this afternoon left a load of scrap metal strewn alongside one of Newcastle’s busiest roads.
The trailer of the city-bound semi tipped as it approached the Elizabeth Street roundabout on Industrial Drive, just after three o’clock.
The load took down a roadside sign and forced the closure of two of the southbound lanes.
No one was injured – the cleanup is continuing.
