TWO TO FACE COURT OVER ALLEGED GOLD COAST TORTURE
Two men will appear in court after the alleged torture and serious assault of a 24-year-old man near the Gold Coast.
Police say the victim sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and facial injuries, before allegedly being tied to a tree and left in bushland by a group of men on Tuesday night in Tamborine.
He was able to flag a passing motorist on the Beenleigh-Beaudesert Road around 7.10am on Wednesday.
The man was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
A 24-year-old Yarrabilba man and a 29-year-old Logan Village man have been charged with grievous bodily harm, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, deprivation of liberty and torture.
The pair will appear in the court tomorrow.
