CLARENCE VALLEY COUNCIL GENERAL MANAGER QUITS
The hunt is on for a new General Manager for the Clarence Valley Council following the shock resignation of Scott Greensill on Friday.
Mr Greensill had been General Manager for five years but was the subject of an extraordinary meeting of the council, a week ago, which was called to examine his contract.
Clarence Valley councillors are tight lipped about the circumstances surrounding Mr Greensill’s departure from the top job, although Mayor Jim Simmons did say today that during his time with the council the outgoing GM did his best to put the organisation in a sound financial position.
The former council renewed the general manager’s contract 18 months ago, and it remains to be seen if he will have the remaining three and a half years on his contract paid out.
