JAFFAS MADE TO EARN TOP SPOT IN NPL

Lambton has jumped to the top of the NPL, following a come from behind win over Hamilton last night.

The game marked a special occasion for former A-League golden boot, Joel Griffiths, as he made his debut for the Jaffas.

Rhys Cooper tried to spoil the party with this effort, but Brad Swancott recovered in time.

Leo Bertos went closer, before Scott Smith tapped the ball home.

Cooper went long range on foot before halftime – this time he finished with a goal.

The second half was a different story, as the Jaffas made it 2-1 from a set piece.

Former Olympic striker Pat Brown then came back to haunt his old club.

An impressive brace handed all three points to the Jaffas.
