ONE DEAD AFTER CAR CRASHES INTO TREE NEAR THE GOLD COAST

A person has died, and three people have been hospitalised, after a car crashed into a tree in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
Police say a sedan was travelling along Tamborine Mountain Road on Tambourine Mountain, when it left the road and smashed into a tree, just before 6 o’clock this morning.
One of the passengers died at the scene.
A female passenger was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
The 19-year-old male driver and an 18-year-old male passenger were also taken to hospital in a stable condition.
