Tamworth Regional Council will take an even more hands on approach to next year’s Country Music Festival, as they are now the proud owners of a number of publications and media outlets for the event.
Fairfax Media sold the rights to the Official Guide, and Festival-specific magazines and radio stations.
The Starmaker show will also be run by Council, after Councillors voted unanimously to take them on.
The ownership transfer is expected to be completed by July.
