Around a dozen rallies were held across the country today, including in Newcastle, as part of the March Australia movement.
Local workers, unions and community groups walked to Civic Park this afternoon, in protest of a number of Turnbull Government policies.
“We first come together in 2014 when Abbott was first elected. Back then there was a groundswell of opposition to the policies that were looked to be put in place and nothing’s changed,” said March Australia Newcastle organiser, Leigh Shears.
