STRIKE FORCE NABS ALLEGED CHILD EXPLOITATION OFFENDER
A Lake Macquarie man will face court, charged with online child exploitation offences.
Earlier this month, child exploitation strike force officers began an investigation into online child abuse material, after receiving information from the Australian Federal Police.
Inquiries led to the arrest of a man at Cameron Park about 12.30pm yesterday.
Detectives then searched a home at Highfields, where mobile phone and computers were allegedly seized.
A 23-year-old was charged with using a carriage service for child pornography.
It’s been alleged the man shared photos of a child online and took part in sexually-explicit comments about the child.
He is due to appear at Belmont Local Court in April.
