ANOTHER STRONG YEAR FOR HILL TO HARBOUR

There was a decidedly soggy start to the annual Hill to Harbour in Newcastle this morning.
2,000 runners braved the elements, with the half-marathon seeing a record number of entries.
Event directors believe a route change also provided a boost for local cafes and restaurants.
“Being centralised in Newcastle was a great thing. Just next to the mall, just next to Queens Warf, the cafes were full and I think everyone had a great time,” said Paul Humphreys from H Events.
