WET CONDITIONS WREAK HAVOCK ON HUNTER DRIVERS CHANCES

In motorsport and wet weather wreaked havoc, on the second round of the Aussie Racing Car series, featuring the Hunter’s Charlotte Poynting and Michael Rinkin.

Muswellbrook local, Rinkin, struck trouble early in race three, spinning off the track, before he had to reverse out of oncoming traffic.

The news wasn’t much better for Poynting.

She eventually recovered to grab ninth, then finished just outside the top 10 in race four.

The rain also made life tough for fellow local Sage Murdoch, as he made his debut in the Formula Four series.

The teenager struggled to crack the top 10 across the weekend at Sandown.
