A series of safety initiatives are being trialled as part of more than $4-billion worth of work on the Woolgoolga to Ballina section of the Pacific Highway.
One of those initiatives is yellow line marking, which aims to improve safety by allowing drivers to easily identify work zones.
If the trial is successful, it will be introduced for other road projects.
