The Easter message from Newcastle’s Catholic Bishop has taken on a more sombre tone.
In an online video, Bill Wright calls for repentance, in light of the historical abuse suffered at the hands of clergy.
“Repentance is taking a good hard look at what we’re on about as Christians. It’s about real sorrow for the harm we cause and it is absolutely about being determined to change,” said Bishop Bill Wright.
