WORK GETS UNDERWAY ON MAJOR UPGRADE OF JETTY FORESHORES

Hard hats and high vis were all the go in Coffs Harbour today, as the city’s mayor, Cr Denise Knight, and local Federal Member, Luke Hartsuyker, turned a symbolic sod, to mark the start of the next phase of the Jetty foreshores revitalisation.
Equally funded by council and the Commonwealth, the $9.2-million project will see the area transformed into an open plaza with terraced steps, a market space and a boardwalk behind the dunes and vegetation.
The renewal of the popular precinct should be completed in October.
