Young Port Macquarie Pirates prop Dave Puchert has received a last minute call-up to the Australian Under 20s rugby training camp.
The 19-year-old impressed Wallabies scrum coach Mario Ledesma, during the weekend’s Mid North Coast representative training session.
Puchert will play in the Country Championships this Saturday, before joining the camp on Sunday.
The Aussies take on Fiji and New Zealand in the Oceania Cup next week, in preparation for the World Cup in June.
