With the Manilla community considering a publicly owned Solar Farm, State Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson has urged them to consider a government grant for the project.
On Saturday, private company Starfish Enterprises held a community meeting to case interest in the renewable energy proposal.
Mr Anderson has urged those behind the idea to consider applying for funds.
“I think that if a community wants to get together and look at how they can make their community sustainable in a renewable sense, then they need to be supported. So I’ll be getting right behind them.”
