TAREE RELAYS TO SUPPORT CANCER RESEARCH

There’s bound to be some sore feet in Taree tonight, following this year’s Relay for Life.
More than 350 people stepped off yesterday morning, walking laps at Club Taree.
Together teams have raised around $40,000 for the Cancer Council – some of which will help fund local programs in the Manning Valley.
“We’ve got our transport treatment program in Taree, we’ve also got lots of programs like the sunsmart program in schools and childcare centres and Sunsound which is about making sure you’re wearing sunscreen when you’re at the beach,” organiser Katie Mead said.
