15-YEAR-OLD GIRL FOUND DRIVING STOLEN 4WD
Three children have been stopped by police on the mid north coast after driving a stolen four-wheel-drive from Queensland.
Around 4pm yesterday, police responded to reports of a stolen Gold Coast vehicle parked at a service centre on Bucketts Way in Taree South, roughly 500 kilometres away.
Police found a 15-year-old girl in the driver’s seat, with two other girls, aged 13 and 12, as passengers.
Police allege the eldest girl was the driver of the vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier that day.
The children are in the care of the NSW Department of Family and Community Services.
The driver has been dealt with under the Young Offender’s Act.
