WARM WATER CLASSIC LEFT HIGH AND DRY
It was called off last year due to damage to the marina, and now the Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht race is officially dead in the water.
The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, which instigated the warm water classic in 1981, has decided to permanently bypass the port, and instead the fleet will race to Southport.
The Coffs Harbour Yacht club is now investigating the possibility of another metropolitan club holding a race this summer, that would finish in the city.
