Steady progress is being made to complete the missing link in Newcastle’s Bathers Way project, in time for an influx of visitors for the Supercars event later this year.
Artist impressions show what the stretch will look like, once the $2-million works are finished between Newcastle Beach and the ANZAC Memorial Walk.
“This is the crucial stage, one of the last stages of completing the six-kilometre stretch that makes up the Bathers Way restoration…Engineering is going to be very challenging for us but certainly council staff are more than up for the job,” said Newcastle Council Interim CEO, Jeremy Bath.
