12 passengers escaped uninjured and a driver suffered burns after a bus caught fire near Taree early this morning.
The coach was travelling from Queensland to Sydney when the drama unfolded at Nabiac.
The driver observed sparks coming from the engine bay and pulled over.
He suffered minor burns to his right hand as a result of the blaze.
A southbound lane of the Pacific Highway was closed for a short time.
The cause of fire is still being investigated.
