A 47-year-old mid north coast man has been granted conditional bail, after allegedly grooming a teenage girl online.
He faced court today charged with two counts of using a carriage service to groom persons under 16, and using a carriage service to procure persons under 16.
Yesterday’s arrest followed a two month investigation undertaken by the Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit.
Police allege the man believed he was speaking with a 13-year-old girl and engaged in numerous sexually explicit conversations with the child, going as far to suggest meeting for sex.
He’s next due to front court in July.
