TRIO TO FACE COURT OVER ALLEGED MOREE ARMED ROBBERY
Two men and a woman have been charged over an alleged armed robbery in the far north of the state.
Early on May 12th, four men and a woman entered a service station on the Newell Highway at Bellata, south of Moree.
One of the men was allegedly armed with a rifle
Police allege the group stole cash and cigarettes from staff, before fleeing in a stolen Mitsubishi utility.
A 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested later that day, allegedly following a pursuit in Warialda.
The man was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, and “Skye’s Law”, among other charges.
The woman was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
Both will appear in court next month.
Further investigations led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man at a home in Moree yesterday.
A search of the home allegedly located a firearm, ammunition, methylamphetamine, and suspected stolen goods.
The man was charged with armed robbery, and two counts of take and drive a conveyance.
