Expert rescuers, quick-thinking and a bit of good luck have all helped save the life of an Armidale hang glider pilot, who became stuck on a Newcastle cliff face.
The man was winched to safety amid failing light and an approaching storm, after clinging to a narrow ledge for two hours.
