EIGHT ARRESTED AFTER SEARCH WARRANTS ON THE GOLD COAST
$900,000 in cash and drugs have been seized as part of a police operation targeting former Hells Angels and Comancheros OMCG members from the Gold Coast.
Police allege former OMCG members were involved in transporting drugs from Sydney to the Gold Coast, and that a number of “safe houses” were used in the commission of the crimes.
A total of 12 warrants were executed at addresses on the Gold Coast yesterday.
Eight people were arrested on a total of 38 charges, including possession and production of dangerous drug, and weapons charges.
Police seized $158,000 cash, and $745,000 worth of drugs including 89 mature cannabis plants, 40 cannabis plant seedlings, 154 grams of cocaine, 8 vials of steroids, and 192 steroid tablets.
