TWO MEN SOUGHT AFTER GOLD COAST HOME INVASION
Two men have forced entry into a home on the Gold Coast and demanded money from the resident during a home invasion overnight.
Police say that around 4am, a 48-year-old man answered a knock at the front door of the Cotlew Street home in Ashmore, only to be confronted by two men.
The men forced their way inside, and punched and kicked the homeowner before threatening him with a knife.
They then searched the house, damaging property, and fleeing with cash.
Police are now on the lookout for two men who may be able to assist in their enquiries.
One is described as Caucasian, approximately 194cms tall with a skinny build, shaved head, tattoos on both arms and was wearing a grey hooded jumper.
The second man was described as Caucasian, approximately 184cms tall with a stocky build and was wearing a green fluoro work shirt.
It is believed they were driving a grey/silver Hilux possibly a dual cab, with a cage in the tray.
The homeowner sustained grazes and bruising to his face.
