The blaze broke out in the roof of the Warners Bay property just before two o’clock.

My Pop built this house in 1940, when he first got married, then extended it later. He owned a market garden over the whole block till the 1960’s. He moved out of the house & it was sold in about 2003, the new owners renovated the house. We lived two doors up & my uncle lived next door when we were growing up from 1960’s till my Dad sold in about 1993. It was sad to see history change, but very sad that it is gone for good now.
