FARMERS TO MEET ON WILD DOGS MENACE

The growing threat to livestock from wild dog attacks in the Nambucca Valley is to be the subject of a meeting in Argents Hill, near Bowraville, on Friday.
Landholders in the area have experienced serious stock losses over the past two years and there are now calls for an extensive baiting and trapping program.
The meeting, which gets underway on Friday at 9am, will be attended by representatives of Forests New South Wales, National Parks and Local Land Services.
Local farmers are being urged to attend the meeting which has been called to co-ordinate a concerted effort to control the hundreds of wild dogs.
