SHANNON NOLL BAND MEMBER INJURED BY FIRECRACKER

A firecracker thrown onstage during a performance by Shannon Noll and his band has injured a musician.

The band was playing at a licensed club on Sportsman Way in South West Rocks, on the Mid North Coast, around 10:30pm last night when a lit firecracker was thrown onto the stage.

The keyboardist in the band attempted to extinguish the wick with his foot but it exploded, burning a hole in his shoe.

He sustained superficial burns to his foot and was treated at the scene before being taken to Kempsey District Hospital for further treatment.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
